Privacy Policy

Dynius GmbH ("Dynius", "we", "us") is a Swiss company and an ETH Zurich spin-off, registered at c/o IncoSwiss AG, Bahnhofplatz, 6300 Zug, Switzerland. We are the controller for the personal data described here, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This policy covers the dynius.ai website and the contact that starts from it: an email you send us, a demo call you book. It does not cover the data a customer processes inside the Dynius platform. That is governed by the agreement and the data processing agreement signed with that customer, where we act as a processor and not as a controller.

Server logs. The website is a set of static files hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records standard request logs, including IP addresses, to serve the site and to protect it from abuse. We do not receive those logs and cannot query them.

What you write to us. If you email hello@dynius.ai or reply to one of our messages, we hold that correspondence: your name, your email address, and whatever else you choose to put in it.

What you enter to book a demo. Our "book a call" buttons open Calendly, a separate site. What you type there — name, email address, and any notes — reaches us as a booking and a calendar invitation.

Page views. We count visits with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and records no data that identifies you: we see page URLs, referrers, and coarse device and country information derived from an IP address that is not stored.

Nothing else. No advertising pixels, no A/B testing, no session recording, and no third-party embeds beyond the ones named on this page. There is no contact form: every route to us is an email address or an outbound link you choose to follow.

We set no cookies, and neither does our analytics. The site stores one item in your browser's local storage, the language you picked, so the next page you open is in the same language. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Under the GDPR we rely on pre-contractual and contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) to answer an enquiry, run a demo and deliver our services; on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) to keep the website available and secure and to reply to business correspondence; on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for anything you have separately opted into; and on legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) where the law requires us to keep records. The FADP recognises equivalent grounds.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Four providers process it on our behalf, each under a data processing agreement:

• GitHub, Inc. (a Microsoft subsidiary) — GitHub Pages hosts the website and handles the request logs described above.
• Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. — Microsoft 365 runs our mailboxes and calendars, so it holds any email you send us.
• Calendly LLC — scheduling. It holds the details you enter when you book a call, under its own privacy policy as well as ours.
• Umami Software, Inc. — website analytics, as described above.

Beyond that, we disclose personal data only where the law or a legal process requires it, or where a merger or sale of the business would transfer it, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

We are based in Switzerland and work primarily in Switzerland and the EEA. All three providers above are US-headquartered and may process data in the United States. Those transfers rest on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the Swiss addendum, and on the providers' certification under the EU–US and Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework.

Business correspondence and booking records are kept while the conversation or relationship is live, and afterwards only as long as we may need them for a legal claim or a statutory retention period — under Swiss law, up to ten years for records with an accounting character. Anything we no longer need is deleted. The retention of server logs is set by GitHub, not by us.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw a consent you gave. Write to hello@dynius.ai and we will answer within 30 days. There is no charge.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EEA, to your national supervisory authority.

When our practices change, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged here rather than made quietly.
